Two Church Burglaries in The Past Week

One incident off Hoadly Road over the weekend and a second in Woodbridge on Tuesday night, according to Prince William County Police.

The Prince William County Police is investigating two church burglaries since Saturday.

The first incident reported Saturday morning occurred at the Sacred Heart Church on Purcell Road, off of Hoadly Road.

Church staff reported the burglary occurred between 10 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday. An investigation revealed that entry was made into the church through a rear window which was pried open.

Only an iPod, valued around $100, was reported missing.

On Wednesday morning, officers responded to the Trinity Temple Church at 13403 Baxter Street in Woodbridge.

Church staff reported a burglary between 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and 5:55 a.m. Wednesday.

There were no signs of forced entry into the church, according to police. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window.

Officers noted that several interior offices were entered.
