Murder-Suicide Claims Two People At Home in Dumfries: UPDATE

DUMFRIES, VA—A man shot a woman to death and then fatally shot himself Wednesday morning at a home in the 4000 block of Marjon Court, according to Prince William County Police. They both were pronounced dead at the scene, and their identities have not been released.

Shortly before 10:15 a.m., police arrived at the scene after other people in the home contacted them. An investigation found that the woman was staying at the residence, where a family member lives. The man went to the home, argued with woman, shot her and then shot himself.

No other injuries were reported, and neither of the deceased lived at the home. Police say the incident was isolated to the residence and that there are no public safety concerns.
