Two Suspects Wanted in Fatal Stabbing

Warrants issued for murder, according to Prince William County Police. Victim was found on stranger's front steps Nov. 1.

Investigators are seeking two suspects in the fatal stabbing of a man found on the steps of a stranger’s townhome on Nov. 2.

The two men wanted on murder charges are:

  • Byron Alan King, 30, of the 2700 block of Beechtree Ln in Woodbridge, is described as a black male, 5’8”, 165lbs with black hair and brown eyes.
  • Lamar D. Lewis, 35, of the 2700 block of Beechtree Ln in Woodbridge, is described as a black male, 6’1”, 229lbs with black hair and brown eyes.

Attempts to locate the men have been unsuccessful. Both suspects have ties locally and in the New York City area, according to police.

A man walking his dog early Nov. 1 came upon Gilbert Kinard on the steps of a townhome in Brazil Circle. Kinard had been stabbed in the upper body and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation revealed that the victim and the two suspects were involved in a fight at 2 a.m. in the area of Bronco Way and Benita Fitzgerald Drive, according to police.

Kinard was stabbed in the fight and ran from the scene, eventually collapsing on the steps of the townhome.
