Uber Driver Commandeered By Drug Dealer in Woodbridge: Police

He forced the female driver to take him to various locations, ostensibly to sell drugs, according to Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — An Uber driver's vehicle was high-jacked Tuesday afternoon by a passenger who demanded she drive him around the area of Minnieville Road near Cardinal Drive in an apparent attempt to sell drugs, according to Prince William County Police.

Harpreet Singh Sandhu, 26, of the 14600 block of Batavia Drive in Centreville, was charged with abduction, possession with intent to distribute a schedule IV narcotic and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

He's being held without bond.

Shortly before 1 p.m., an acquaintance of the driver, 26, of Woodbridge, told police her friend picked up an unknown man but soon realized he was carrying drugs and a large amount of money.

She demanded he get out of he vehicle but he refused and forced her to drive to several locations in Woodbridge. At some point, she called a friend who then called police.

Police stopped the vehicle in the area of Minnieville Road and General Washington Drive, and Sandhu was arrested without incident.
