Uber Driver Sexually Assaults Woman In Woodbridge: Police
An Uber driver sexually assaulted a 22-year-old woman early Saturday in the Dale City area of Woodbridge: Prince William County Police.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — An Uber driver sexually assaulted a 22-year-old woman early Saturday in the Dale City area of Woodbridge, according to Prince William County Police. Cristian Yovani Zelda Avalo, 37, of the 10200 block of Ginny Way in Manassas, was charged with object sexual penetration and abduction with intent to defile. He's being held without bond.
On Monday, police began to investigate the assault when contacted by the victim. She said she had called for an Uber to pick her up from a Manassas location for transport to her Woodbridge residence. En route, around 3:15 a.m., the driver held her down in the vehicle and sexually assaulted her. She did make it home, though, and got away from the driver, who then left the area.
Following an investigation, the suspect was identified and police arrested him at his home in Manassas City.
