Unruly Drunk Guy Assaults Cop In Woodbridge: Police
A drunk man involved in a two-vehicle crash Saturday in Woodbridge assaulted an officer after being arrested: Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—A drunk man involved in a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in the 14200 block of Jefferson Davis Highway became unruly after being detained and took out his ire on both a police cruiser and arresting officers, according to Prince William County Police.
Shirley Lorenzo Carter, 43, of the 18400 block of Joplin Road in Triangle, was charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, driving while intoxicated (second in five years), driving on a revoked license (DUI related), providing false ID to a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and a traffic-related offense.
Around 12:44 p.m., police arrived at the scene and found one of the two drivers involved—Carter—to be intoxicated. He resisted an initial attempt to arrested him but eventually was detained and put in the police cruiser.

But en route to jail, according to police, he unbuckled himself and began kicking the door. When officers tried to re-secure him, he kicked one of them when the door was opened. Minor injuries were reported.
