Update: Police Identify Dale City Shooting Victim As 19-Year-Old Man
Authorities said a 19-year-old man was shot in Dale City on Tuesday after agreeing to meet a group at Cheshire Station Plaza.

DALE CITY, VA — Police are still looking for suspects in connection with a shooting that occurred in Dale City's Cheshire Station Plaza on Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities said one person, a 19-year-old man, was shot. First responders took the man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The police department has not announced any arrests in connection with the shooting. Authorities have also not released a physical description of any suspects. However, investigators noted that the suspects drove away in a light-colored vehicle.

The shooting occurred around 2 p.m. on Tuesday in the 4400 block of Cheshire Station Plaza. Investigators believe that the victim and an acquaintance agreed to meet other people in the area.
During the encounter, one of the other people fired multiple gunshots which hit the victim. The suspects then drove away in a light-colored vehicle before police arrived the scene.

Police officers and bystanders provided first aid until rescue personnel arrived and took the victim to the hospital.
Officers said they found cartridge casings and two firearms when they searched the area. No other injuries or property damage was reported.
The police department said the shooting does not appear to be random.
