Update: Police Nab Woodbridge Man Charged With Shooting Woman in Arm

Apprehended Friday, he's being held in jail without bond, say Prince William County police.

WOODBRIDGE, Va. -- A Woodbridge man who shot a woman in the arm last week is behind bars and facing a charge of attempted murder, according to the Prince William County police.

Kevin Brown, 31, fled the area on June 30 after firing a handgun at the unidentified 30-year-old woman during an argument outside his residence, according to a police report. He fired several more shots into the air, then drove away from the scene in a car.

The shooting victim is also from Woodbridge, the police said, and she and Brown are relatives.

On Friday, the police located Brown at his home in the 12200 block of Aztec Place and arrested him without incident, the report stated. He's being held without bond at the Prince William-Manassas regional jail, and his next court date is pending.

Police detectives served Brown on Friday with an arrest warrant for attempted murder, the police said. He's also been charged with one count of attempted malicious wounding, one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and two counts of the use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
