Victim, Suspects Identified In Deadly Potomac Mills Mall Shooting
Prince William Co. police said two men have been charged with murder after an Alexandria man was shot in the Potomac Mills Mall parking lot.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — Two men have been charged with murder after an Alexandria man was shot in the Potomac Mills Mall parking lot, Prince William County police said Tuesday.
According to police, officers responded to the shopping center at 2700 Potomac Mills Circle around 7:10 p.m. on Feb. 24 for a report of a shooting. When police arrived, they located Baffour Asare Gundona, 34, of Alexandria suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.
Investigators said Gundona was shot during an altercation with another man while they were inside a car parked in the mall's parking lot. Following the shooting, the victim got out of the car and collapsed.

Responding officers provided aid to Gundona before taking him to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Police said Clifton Joseph Douglas, 25, of Chesterfield, arrived at the mall with Beau Wade Bishop, 28, of Woodbridge, to meet the victim. At one point, Douglas got into Gundona’s vehicle, where the victim was then shot.

After the shooting, Douglas and Bishop left the area in their vehicle. Officers located the suspect vehicle outside of Bishop’s home in Woodbridge, where authorities said he was arrested without incident on Feb. 27.
On Sunday, detectives identified Douglas as the shooter and obtained arrest warrants. Members of the U.S. Marshals Task Force located him in Chesterfield County, where he was arrested on Monday.
A police news release said Douglas is charged with murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. He is being without bond.
Bishop is charged with accessory after the fact and concealing or compounding offenses, officials said. He is being without bond.
