Virginia Lottery Winner In Woodbridge Nets $300,000

WOODBRIDGE, VA—It was as if he'd just been given some really, really bad news. "Oh no!," said Hector Amaya of Woodbridge. But this wasn't bad news, at all. No, Amaya had just scratched an "Instant Jackpot" ticket from the Virginia Lottery and found he had won the $300,000 top prize.
Amaya bought the winning ticket in the Giant at 4309 Dale Boulevard in Dale City. His odds of winning the top prize were 1 in 1,836,000. He works in construction and said he plans to use his winnings to spruce up his home.
