Funeral services are underway honoring Officer Ashley Guindon, who was killed while responding to a domestic dispute in the Woodbridge area over the weekend.
Prince William County is streaming the services live.
Guindon was one of three officers responding Saturday afternoon to the home of Ronald Hamilton, 32, a staff sergeant with the U.S. Army.

He allegedly shot each of the officers — the other two are still in critical condition. After Hamilton’s arrest, police found his wife’s body in the house. Crystal Hamilton, 29, also died from a gunshot wound.
Guindon had been sworn in to serve with Prince William County just a day before the shooting.

She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach and also received a master’s degree in forensics. She served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and came from a family of law enforcement.
She had been assigned to work patrol in eastern Prince William County. Guindon had a history with the department, serving as a forensics intern in 2011 while pursuing her master’s degree.
