WOODBRIDGE, VA — As Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of summer, many of Prince William County's public pools will open for the season.

If you're ready to cool off with a dip in the pool, it's worth looking into which pools are open. Other options are privately-owned swim clubs only open to members. Wait lists may apply for the most in-demand swim clubs.

Here are the schedules for public pools around Prince William County:

• May 25-June 14: 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. weekends and Memorial Day, May 27
• June 15-Aug. 16: 12 p.m .to 6 p.m. daily except Wednesdays
