Jesus to me is a Prophet of God. He was said to be revived from the dead. But is that the true story? The Holy Quran states: “Say, ‘He is God, the One; ‘God, the independent and Besought of all. ‘He begets not, nor is He begotten; ‘And there is none like unto Him” (chapter 112).
As an Ahmadi Muslim I believe that Jesus (peace be on him) had died a natural death and will not return. I shall share the basis of my beliefs.
I believe that Jesus (pboh) survived the crucifixion and traveled towards India to continue his ministry among the Lost Tribes of Israel. Furthermore, his tomb containing his body has been recently re-discovered in India where it can be seen to this day. We assert that this belief is not only upheld by the Holy Qur’an and the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) but even by the Holy Bible itself. He was to enter the tomb alive, stay alive for three days, and come out alive. If Jesus had died, there would be little resemblance to Jonahs story. The stories of Jesus and Jonah are two of survival — not revival.

The belief that he is alive in the heavens is false and against the teachings of the Holy Qur’an. The Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community said that the Messiah whose advent was foretold by Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) has appeared in his person to reform the world and to spread the pristine teachings of Islam.
According to the Qur’an Jesus said, “‘Surely, God is my Lord, and your Lord. So, worship Him alone; this is the right path” (19:37).

I am writing all this not to change any beliefs, but to share my beliefs. My beliefs, are what I think is right. Your beliefs come from your own heart.
