Woman Assaulted In Woodbridge: Police

WOODBRIDGE, VA—A man was arrested early Monday after repeatedly punching a woman and then threatening her with a gun in the 14300 block of Bellona Road, according to Prince William County Police. Marcus Albert Richardson, 23, of the 4200 block of Blacksnake Drive in Temple Hills, MD, was charged with malicious wounding, domestic assault & battery and brandishing a firearm.

Shortly before 1 a.m., police arrived at the scene for a reported assault. The victim, 30, said she and Richardson, an acquaintance, were involved in a argument that escalated. That's when he began punching her before pulling out a handgun and threatening to shoot her.

Police found him shortly thereafter and also recovered the handgun.
