Woman Confronts Peeping Tom in Mall Bathroom

Male suspect in Sunday incident was dressed like a woman. Matches similar case at Potomac Mills Wal-Mart in May.

A woman confronted a man earlier this week in a ladies restroom at Potomac Mills Mall. Police say he dressed like a woman and was trying to watch the woman from underneath a bathroom stall partition.

A similar incident in May at the Wal-Mart located next to the mall involved a suspect who matched the description.

The man is described as a Hispanic male, between 35 and 45 years of age, 5’10”, 220lbs with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a long black and brown wig, a pink shirt, black Capri-style pants, black and white shoes and carrying a large red and black handbag.

The victim, 35, of Stafford told police that she had entered the bathroom with her 5 year old daughter at 3 p.m. Sunday. She said she saw what she believed was a flash and then a mirror protruding from underneath a neighboring stall.

The woman exited her stall and confronted the suspect. After a brief struggle, the suspect fled the restroom area and was last seen running through the parking lot on foot.

No injuries were reported. Officers checked the area and did not locate the suspect.

A similar incident involving a suspect that matched this description was reported at the Wal-Mart of Worth Ave on May 15.
