Woman Hit By SUV After Running From Cops In Woodbridge: Police
Authorities said a 23-year-old woman was hit by an SUV on Monday night after she ran away from police officers and into traffic.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — An SUV hit a woman in Woodbridge on Monday night after she ran away from police officers and into traffic, according to the police department.
Police did not identify the woman by name, but they said she was 23 years old. Her injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The incident began around 11:58 p.m. on Monday near Richmond Highway and Mount Pleasant Drive. Officers in the area said they saw a woman who had warrants out for her arrest. The police department did not specify the charges associated with the warrants.

The woman ran away when the police officers tried to contact her, according to the police report. She ran into the northbound lanes of Richmond Highway where a Jeep Liberty hit her.
A helicopter flew the woman to a hospital to receive treatment for her injuries. Authorities said her injuries were not life-threatening.
