Woman Killed in Crash Sunday From Woodbridge

The victim in a fatal wreck on Interstate 495 Sunday afternoon has been identified as a Woodbridge woman.

Dinora Del Carmen Guzman, 49, died at the scene, according to Virginia State Police.

The two-car crash occurred at 1:10 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-495 near Route 613.

According to VSP, Guzman was driving her 2001 Nissan Pathfinder heading onto the interstate from the Van Dorn Ramp when the Pathfinder lost control and struck a 2007 BMW that was heading west on I-495.

The Pathfinder overturned. Guzman was reportedly not wearing her seatbelt. The driver of the BMW was not injured.

Speed is being considered a factor in the crash, according to police.
