Woman Raped By Acquaintance In Dumfries: Police

DUMFRIES, VA — A man who beat and then raped a female acquaintance was arrested early Saturday morning at an area residence and is being held without bond, according to Prince William County Police. Raynod Jay Lee, 24, of Dumfries, was charged with rape, abduction with the intent to defile, strangulation and domestic assault and battery.

The victim, 23, said she and Lee had been involved in an argument with Lee that escalated around midnight. She said he grabbed her, forced her into a bedroom, held her down on a bed and punched her in the face. She also was choked before he took off her clothes and raped her. She was able to flee the residence around 4:20 a.m. and contact police. Lee was arrested without incident.
