Woman Slashes Man With Kitchen Knife In Dumfries: Police

A Woodbridge woman was arrested after slashing an acquaintance with a kitchen knife in Dumfries: Prince William County Police.

DUMFRIES, VA—A Woodbridge woman was arrested Sunday after slashing an acquaintance with a kitchen knife at her residence during an argument and later going to his home in the 15800 block of Montview Drive and prompting another altercation, according to Prince William County Police. Candice Tiwanna Griggs, 29, of the 1900 block of Old Post Terrace, was charged with malicious wounding.

Shortly before 11 a.m., police responded to the Montview Drive residence for a reported assault. The 45-year-old victim said he and Griggs had been arguing throughout the morning. The argument turned physical, and that's when Griggs grabbed a kitchen knife and cut the man on his face and his hand.

He then left and went to his home only to have Griggs show up later and resume the argument. They finally separated and he contacted police.
