Woman Strangled In Woodbridge: Police

WOODBRIDGE, VA—A man was arrested last Friday after strangling a woman at a home in the 1300 block of East Longview Drive, according to Prince William County Police. Carlos Severino Salome, 33, of the 1500 block of Indiana Avenue in Woodbridge, was charged with strangulation, assault-and-battery and preventing the summoning of a law enforcement officer.

Around 1 p.m., police went to the apartment for a reported assault. The woman, 28, said she and Salome—an acquaintance—were involved in an argument that escalated. That's when he grabbed her by the neck. She finally separated herself from Salome, fled the apartment and called police.
