WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man was arrested Monday in Arlington for a variety of charges connected to breaking into a female acquaintance's home twice in a matter of hours last week in the 3100 block of Talon Eagle Street, according to Prince William County Police. Joshua Barrett, 27, of the 14800 block of Emberdale Drive, was charged with three counts of burglary, one count of abduction, one count of grand larceny, two counts of preventing the summoning of law enforcement, two counts of domestic assault and battery and one count of destruction of property.
Around 1:30 a.m. Friday, police responded to the scene and the victim, 23, said she was asleep in her room when the man broke into her residence and woke her up. He grabbed her phones, broke one of them, and prevented her from calling police. He then left, but not before stealing liquor from her vehicle.
