Woman Terrorized in Woodbridge: PWC Police

A woman was strangled, beaten and threatened with a knife to her throat Tuesday night in Woodbridge, say Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—A woman was strangled, beaten and threatened with a knife to her throat Tuesday night in the 1700 block of Ann Scarlet Court, according to Prince William County Police. Kevin Lee Hall, 55, of the 18100 block of Purvis Drive in Triangle, was later arrested by chance and charged with attempted malicious wounding, strangulation and assault and battery.

Shortly after 9 p.m., police arrived at the scene for a reported assault. The woman, 50, said she and Hall were in an argument that escalated. He grabbed her by the neck, whipped out a knife and held it against her throat. When she tried to scream for help, he covered her mouth before repeatedly hitting her in the face.

Hall then fled but was found during an unrelated traffic stop in the area of Blackburn Road and Rippon Boulevard.
