Woman Threatens Motorist With Machete In Woodbridge: Police

A woman got out of her vehicle and began waving a machete at another driver Sunday in Woodbridge: Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—A woman got out of her vehicle and began waving a machete at another driver early Sunday in the area of Clipper Drive and Tumbling Brook Lane, according to Prince William County Police. Mannie Burton, 51, of the 12700 block of Nettlecreek Place, was charged with attempted malicious wounding and brandishing a machete.

Around 12:45 a.m., police found that a 62-year-old Woodbridge man was parking his vehicle in the aforementioned area when he was approached by a vehicle being driven by an unknown woman. When she got out of her vehicle, she began yelling threats at him and then whipped out a machete.

Sufficiently spooked, the man fled the scene and contacted police. He gave them her license plate number, and police went to her residence and arrested her.
