Women Slash Man At Dumfries Motel: Police

DUMFRIES, VA — A man was stabbed multiple times Tuesday by two female acquaintances at a Motel 6 motel, 17133 Dumfries Road, according to Prince William County Police. He suffered superficial wounds and the two females were arrested following an investigation.

Renee Angelica Candelario, 26, of the 1300 block of Paramount Lane in Woodbridge, was charged with malicious wounding by mob and domestic assault and battery. Candace Michalle Beverly, 26, of no fixed address, was charged with assault and battery by mob and assault and battery.

Shortly before 11 a.m., police responded to the motel for a report of an assault with weapons. All involved parties already had left. Descriptions were provided, and police found two suspects at another nearby motel. Police were told the victim, 31, may have run to a nearby wooded area. That's near where he was found, on Van Buren Road.

Police said the man was inside a room at the motel with a woman when two other women confronted him. And then they stabbed him. All four people were known to one another.
