Woodbridge Election Results: Northam Easily Trumps Gillespie
Election results for Prince William were highlighted by Danica Roem's win over Bob Marshall (R). Also, check out other races in the area.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — You don't have to look far to see one of the bigger seismic shifts in Virginia politics, and it happened Tuesday night in Manassas when Danica Roem beat 13-term Republican ultra-conservative Bob Marshall in their House of Delegates race. She became the first openly transgender elected official in the state and one of a handful in the nation, and she did it by beating a man who has referred to himself as the state's "chief homophobe."
Roem beat Marshall 53-47. Her win dovetailed with that of fellow Democrat Ralph Northam, who unexpectedly breezed to nine-point overall win over Republican challenger Ed Gillespie in the race to succeed Gov. Terry McAuliffe. In Prince William County, Northam beat Gillespie 61-38 with 71,550 votes to Gillespie's 44,960.
Here are the results from the other seven House of Delegates races in Prince William County:
