Woodbridge HS Student Stabbed With Own Knife In School Fight: Police
A 15-year-old Woodbridge High School student was stabbed with his own knife Wednesday morning during a fight at school, police said.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A Woodbridge High School student was stabbed with his own knife Wednesday morning during a fight inside a school bathroom, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
The student was initially treated by the school nurse but was later taken to an area hospital for treatment and further evaluation, police said.
During a police investigation into the fight, a knife was found inside the injured student’s backpack and taken by a Woodbridge High School resource officer.

The student, identified as a 15-year-old boy, was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon on school property and brandishing a weapon on school property, according to police. He was held at the Prince William County Juvenile Detention Center.
The incident began Wednesday morning when three students, including the 15-year-old, were inside a bathroom when an argument escalated into a fight. The 15-year-old grabbed his knife and began to fight with another student. At some point, the 15-year-old was stabbed during a struggle over his knife.

The students eventually separated and left the restroom. A teacher was notified of the incident and contacted school security, and together with the school resource officer they found the 15-year-old in a classroom suffering from a minor stab wound, police said.
