Woodbridge Man Fleeing Cops Hit By His Own Car: Video

A Fairfax County police cruiser caught the epic fail on video as cops tried to pull over the driver.

HYBLA VALLEY, VA—Escaping from police didn't work out so well for a Woodbridge driver in Fairfax County Sunday. Police say a man was hit by his own car while trying to make a getaway.

In-car police footage captured the bizarre incident around 1 a.m. in the 2600 block of Arlington Drive in Hybla Valley. Police say an officer attempted to pull the car over, but the driver sped away. He jumped out of the car to flee on foot, failing to put the car in park. The video shows the man jumping out of the still-moving car and being struck. Even afterward, he gets up and continues running.

The driver, Isaac Bonsu, 30, came away uninjured but faces charges of DWI-3rd offense, drinking while driving with an open container, failure to stop at the scene of an accident and four others.
