Woodbridge Man Leads Police On Chase In Stolen Vehicle, Arrested
Daniel Campola faces several charges, including assault on an officer, after police said he stole a van from a local mobile home park.
WOODBRIDGE, VA – A 39-year-old Woodbridge man is in custody after police said he led Stafford County deputies on a chase in a stolen vehicle Monday that resulted in the man is facing a number of criminal charges, police said.
Daniel Campola was arrested after police were called to the Quarles Mobile Home Park for the report of a stolen vehicle just after 4 p.m.. Police said that Campola fled in a Ford transit van and sped down Melchers Drive before turning south into the northbound lane of Warrenton Road. Police said that the vehicle then struck a Stafford County Sheriff’s Department Patrol car and continued onto US 1.
Police said the vehicle then blew a tire and deputies forced Campola to stop near Spring Valley. Campola attempted to escape on foot but was quickly apprehended by police and a deputy’s K-9 partner. Police said that during the arrest, Campola rolled into the dog, which caused a cut on the dog’s nose.

Campola was already wanted out of Prince William County for grand larceny and possession of stolen property. Deputies will be seeking charges of assault on law enforcement, animal cruelty, felony eluding of police, possession of stolen property, reckless driving and driving without a driver’s license.
