WOODBRIDGE, VA — A Woodbridge man is $100,000 richer after scoring a big prize in the Virginia State Lottery's Powerball drawing. Ezelle Smith matched four balls plus the Powerball number, and because he spent an extra $1 on the Power Play option, his prize doubled to $100,000.

Smith bought his winning ticket at the Harris Teeter at 12745 Galveston Ct. in Manassas. He used Easy Pick, which had the computer randomly select his numbers. The winning numbers for that drawing were 4-8-10-43-53, and the Powerball number was 7.

Smith, who works as an IT professional, said in a news release he has no immediate plans for his winnings.
