A mechanic from Woodbridge won $100,000 when he received the top prize from a Virginia Lottery scratch-off game.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — A mechanic from Woodbridge is $100,000 richer after he won the top prize from a Virginia Lottery scratch-off ticket.
The lucky winner, Valentin Zarco, told lottery officials that he doesn't regularly play the lottery. He was in disbelief when he learned he won.
"I didn't believe it," Zarco told lottery officials as he claimed his giant check.

Zarco won the top prize from the Crossword Connect 5X ticket. The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 1,224,000. The odds of winning any prize are about 1 in 3.
Zarco plans to use his winnings to pay bills.
