Woodbridge Teacher Charged With Assaulting Middle School Student

Police said the teacher was charged after she assaulted a 13-year-old student at Rippon Middle School in Woodbridge.

WOODBRIDGE, VA โ€” A Prince William County teacher is facing charges after police said she assaulted a 13-year-old student at Rippon Middle School in Woodbridge.

Gail Latasha Hill, 50, of Woodbridge, was charged with assault and battery Friday following the Dec. 3 incident at the school.

According to Prince William County police, the assault occurred when Hill and the male student argued at the school. Authorities said during the confrontation, Hill walked past the student and swung her shoulder, striking him and causing him to fall backward into a desk.

The student was not injured, police said.
