WOODBRIDGE, VA — Lydia Rodriguez of Woodbridge won $100,000 in the Oct. 19 Virginia Powerball drawing, and she did it without ever leaving her home to buy a ticket. According to the Virginia State Lottery, Rodriguez took advantage of the Online Play option and ended up matching four out of five white balls and the Powerball.

Rodriguez, who selected the Power Play option and doubled her winnings, said she was in shock the moment she found out she won. “When I saw the amount, I was like… okay!” she added.

Rodriguez said she uses Online Play because she travels a lot, and that way "she have to worry about whether she bought a ticket.”
