Woodbridge Woman Wins $5.3 Million Through Online Lottery Game

A Woodbridge woman scored $5.3 million from the lottery after not winning the initial scratch ticket she bought.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Remona Thompson didn't win when she bought a Virginia Lottery scratch ticket. But that ticket did have a promotion to play the lottery online, so the Woodbridge woman decided to give it a try at home.

That was a $5.3 million decision.

"I was just kind of stunned!" she told the Virginia Lottery.
