• York County residents amp up support for skatepark (dailypress.com) — York County residents are ramping up pressure on officials to include a public skatepark in future upgrades at Charles Brown Park, just up the road from Naval Weapons Station Yorktown. With local skaters sometimes resorting to prohibited spots near Yorktown Beach, supporters argue a modern, all-wheels park would give kids and teens a safe, inclusive place to ride and could revitalize the area.
   

• Town of Shenandoah places lien on Stepp property for delinquent taxes (pagevalleynews.com) — A Page County court order announces a lien enforcement case over delinquent real estate taxes, but the attorney handling it is based in Yorktown, which may interest local residents who use regional legal services. Defendants are ordered to appear by December 15, 2026, as the town of Shenandoah seeks to protect its tax claim on the specified property.
