Gun Battle In Eatonville: Drive-by Suspect Killed
The target of the shooting returned fire, killing one of the drive-by shooters, according to the Pierce County Sheriff.

EATONVILLE, WA - A 26-year-old man is dead after a shooting in rural Pierce County Wednesday morning.
The shooting happened just before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday along Mountain Highway north of La Grande and west of Eatonville. According to police, a car with three people inside pulled into the driveway of a mobile home and opened fire.
A man inside the mobile home told police that he returned fire, hitting one of the shooters in the car. That victim was left in the driveway and the shooters fled the scene. Deputies later located the car farther north along SR 7. They arrested a 31-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy inside.

The man in the mobile home was with his teenage son at the time of the shooting. They had received a threat in the overnight hours from someone threatening to "shoot up the house."
Pierce County detectives are still investigating the incident.
