2 Free State Parks Days Coming Up In April
Washington State Parks will waive entry fees on two days in April to celebrate spring and Earth Day. (Bears may not be awake yet.)

DECEPTION PASS, WA - The state Parks and Recreation Commission will waive entry fees for state parks on two days in April. The state sets aside a handful of free-entry days throughout the year to celebrate holidays and seasons.
The first free day will be on April 14 to celebrate spring, and the second one on April 22 will recognize Earth Day. Parks usually cost $10 for a day pass, or $30 for an annual Discovery Pass.

- Saturday, June 2 — National Trails Day
- Saturday, June 9 — National Get Outdoors Day
- Sunday, June 10 — Free Fishing Day
- Saturday, Aug. 25 — National Park Service Birthday
- Saturday, Sept. 22 — National Public Lands Day
- Sunday, Nov. 11 — Veterans Day
