Bill Gates Is The World's Most Admired Man

REDMOND, WA - Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist Bill Gates is the most admired person in the world, according to the survey website YouGov. The company conducts the worldwide survey each year, and each year Gates has placed No. 1.

In his post-Microsoft years, Gates has dedicated his time to humanitarian causes, most notably eradicating malaria. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is located near the Seattle Center.

YouGov ranked the most admired people in the world by gender. Angelina Jolie was the most admired woman worldwide. Michelle Obama came in No. 1 counting only U.S. residents.

The survey was compiled using responses from YouGuv panelists in 35 different countries across the world.
