The body was discovered Wednesday afternoon in Clallam County, according to police.

NEAH BAY, WA - A body was found in the waters off Neah Bay Wednesday afternoon, and it might belong to a missing 79-year-old Kitsap County man, according to the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office. A search and rescue team was looking for Stanley Okumoto in later September after he was reported missing.
The body was found around 1:30 p.m. Thursday by a local citizen who was scouting for sea otters. A Neah Bay officer from the nearby Makah Indian Reservation was the first on the scene. State patrol, the U.S. Coast Guard and the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office assisted in retrieving the body.
The body was discovered at milepost 4-1/2 at the western end of SR 112. On Sept. 20, a search team was looking for Okumoto near milepost 6 along SR 112. Okumoto's 2002 Ford Escort was located near where the body was found.
