Cash, Heroin Found During Drug Bust At Tacoma Hotel

Investigators said the 42-year-old man was arrested with heroin, meth and thousands in cash.

TACOMA, WA -- An undercover drug bust at an upscale Tacoma hotel uncovered thousands of dollars and several ounces of heroin and meth, the News Tribune reports. Pierce County investigators were watching as the man left a hotel room and retrieved something from under the hood of a car. Investigators said, when they tried to arrest him, the man ran away and jumped to a parking lot 20 feet below, breaking his ankle. According to investigators, a search of the hotel room revealed more than $14,000 in cash, two guns and the drugs. He is being held in Pierce County on $1 million bail.
