Sex While Driving Drunk Interrupted When Car Hits Tree: Police

LA GRANDE, WA - Having sex fully naked while driving drunk. What could go wrong?

A man and woman crashed Wednesday night near La Grande while having sex in their car, their baby strapped in the backseat, according to Washington State Patrol. The man was driving and, perhaps a little distracted, missed a curve and crashed into a tree, police said.

Witnesses at the scene told police the couple emerged from the wreck fully naked, and authorities said the woman suffered broken bones. She wasn't wearing a seat belt, for obvious reasons. The baby was not injured, according to state patrol.

The crash happened near 48400 Mountain Highway, which is also SR 7. That particular stretch of road winds along the Nisqually River. On one side of the road is sharp drop to the river, so perhaps the couple had some luck.

The man, who police said has prior driving under the influence convictions, was taken to the Pierce County Jail on suspicion of DUI, child endangerment, and vehicular assault.
