Downtown Burien Gunfight Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Wounded
A group of at least five people got into a fight early Tuesday morning, according to the King County Sheriff's Office.
BURIEN, WA — A 27-year-old man was killed in a downtown Burien gunfight early Tuesday morning, according to the King County Sheriff's Office. A second victim, a 30-year-old man, was seriously wounded.
Burien police responded to a report of gunshots at the intersection of 4th Avenue Southwest and Southwest 153rd Street just after midnight. They found one victim lying on the ground, and he later died at the scene. The second victim showed up after the shooting at Highline Hospital — he was taken to Harborview in Seattle in serious condition.
The surviving victim told police a group of five people got into a fight, which escalated when several people pulled out guns and started shooting. Police estimate three people escaped the scene.

This is the second homicide in Burien so far in 2019. Edwin Espinoza Lopez, 22, was shot and killed at Puget Sound Park north of downtown Burien in February. Adolf Fei, 23, was arrested and charged in that killing.
