Drunk Driver Rams Utility Worker With Pickup: Video
The utility worker was in a rural area near Keyport Wednesday morning when the attack began.
POULSBO, WA - A utility worker was attacked by a drunk driver in a pickup truck Wednesday morning near Poulsbo. Washington State Patrol released a short video of the strange attack, which ended in two men arrested for drunk driving.
According to police, an Elm Utility employee was in the driveway of a home along the 1200 block of SR 308, just west of Keyport. That's when a 60-year-old man drove up and began ramming his Nissan Titan pickup into the utility worker's Kia Soul. The attack went on until the Kia was pushed off the road into a ditch.
After the utility worker got out of his car, the 60-year-old proceeded to follow and make threats. When state troopers showed up, the attacker got back in his truck and drove to a nearby home. Troopers later arrested him there for DUI, hit and run, and failure to obey police.
