Ellensburg To Host Central Washington Women's March

Ellensburg Indivisible believe that protecting the values and people of the Central WA region will require resistance and tolerance.

From CWJFON: The Seattle Women’s March 2.0 is scheduled on the first anniversary weekend of the original event for January 20, 2018 at 10:00 am. Ellensburg Indivisible and Central Washington Justice for Our Neighbors (CWJFON) will stand with others from the region to celebrate last year’s successes, prepare for the coming year of activism, and encourage participation i n and raise awareness for the 2018 midterm elections.

Ellensburg Indivisible and CWJFON believe that protecting the values and people of the Central Washington region will require mounting a resistance to the present political environment, but also know that resistance must be built on a base of inclusion, tolerance, and fairness. In their on-going efforts, they support the 2018 Women’s March and hope to accompany thousands of neighbors, friends, and colleagues in this day of resistance and collective empowerment. “Like the 2017 march, this is an uplifting, all-inclusive, peaceful, and family-friendly event,” says Rob Fraser of CWJFON.

“We hope you will join us and help us represent people from every segment of our region.” “We’re arranging buses to and from the event in Seattle, so please contact us via Facebook if you or your organization would like to participate in the march,” adds Ellensburg Indivisible’s Sheril Bechard. “And while you’re there, please share your stories and photos from last year on our Facebook page, showing how the march impacted you and your loved ones.” Ellenburg Indivisible’s Facebook page is found at www.facebook.com/groups/753010691530732/.
