Fire Involving Multiple Vehicles Slows Traffic On I-5
Multiple vehicles are involved in a fire on Interstate 5 near Federal Way.

FEDERAL WAY, WA — A crash and fire involving multiple vehicles blocked several lanes of Interstate 5, near South 288th Street, during the evening commute Thursday night. According to WSDOT only the northbound HOV lane remains open and traffic heading south has also slowed. The backup quickly stretched over two miles and is likely to grow. South King Fire is at the scene and has extinguished the flames. Firefighters said all occupants are uninjured.
