Hazardous Weather Coming This Weekend: NWS

The National Weather Service is predicting intermittent snow through the weekend in Washington.

ELLENSBURG, WA - The National Weather Service is warning of hazardous weather headed our way Thursday night and through the weekend. The forecast predicts intermittent snow showers beginning Thursday and lasting through the weekend - and possibly longer.

According to the hazardous weather outlook, snow will be heaviest along the east slopes of the Cascades between Ellensburg and the Canadian border. Around Puget Sound, expect about a 50 percent chance of rain showers through the weekend with highs in the mid-40s.

Expect higher mountain snow showers along the Cascade crest and North Idaho Panhandle as the active weather continues.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY The Active weather continues into the weekend with the best chance for widespread snow this coming Sunday. Another wet weather system is also anticipated around Wednesday but timing and strength may change so stay tuned.
