Westbound Snoqualmie Pass Reopens After Snow Closure
Westbound travel was halted for more than 30 minutes after several spin-outs and crashes near Easton.

SNOQUALMIE PASS, WA — Heavy mountain snow led to multiple spin-outs and crashes on Snoqualmie Pass near Easton Thursday night, prompting a full westbound closure just before 4:45 p.m. Westbound travel resumed about 30 minutes later, but delays persisted in both directions.
Eastbound trips between North Bend and Ellensburg had travel times averaging 90 minutes, per WSDOT data. Westbound trips over the pass took 110 minutes to complete on average. WSDOT said snow and slush is on the road, and traction tires were required. Vehicles over 10,000 pounds were required to apply chains, and oversized vehicles were prohibited.
A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for elevations below 3,000 feet on the east slopes of the Cascades. NWS forecasts said Snoqualmie Pass could pick up several inches of new snow overnight.
