Woman Killed By Housemate In Covington Murder-Suicide: KCSO

A 30-year-old woman was shot and killed by a man she lived with, according to the King County Sheriff's Office.

COVINGTON, WA - A 30-year-old woman was shot and killed on Wednesday by a man she shared a house with, according to the King County Sheriff's Office. The 32-year-old man apparently shot himself after killing the woman.

King County deputies responded to a home along the 25000 block of 180th Avenue Southeast just before 2 p.m. Wednesday on a report of a shooting. Four adults and an infant were in the home at the time, but they were able to leave safely.

Police found the woman dead in the home of several gunshot wounds. Police used a robot to search the house and eventually found the shooter dead in a bedroom of a shotgun wound.

A motive for the killing is still under investigation. Police said the two people were not in a relationship, but did rent rooms in the same home.
