Human Remains Found, Presumed To Be Missing Spanaway Man

Investigators said no foul play was suspected after a missing man's vehicle was found alongside human remains.

SPANAWAY, WA — Pierce County detectives said the vehicle of a missing Spanaway man was found in the Capitol Forest along with human remains Monday. William Malay was reported missing by his family in late October after they found his home abandoned. They told investigators he had not been seen or heard from in a year. The Pierce County Sheriff's Department put out a bulletin with Malay's photo and his vehicle description, hoping to find a lead on his whereabouts.

According to investigators, further tests are required to confirm the identity of the body, and no signs of foul play were immediately apparent.
