Kent Shooting Leaves 1 Man Seriously Injured

KENT, WA - Kent police are investigating a shooting that happened Wednesday morning in an industrial area of the city near the Green River. According to reports, a man in his 40s was shot during a drug deal around 9:30 a.m. near the corner of 64th Avenue South and South 212th Street.

The victim was shot in the abdomen, and his injuries were described as "severe." The shooting suspect fled the area on foot headed west toward I-5, Kent police said.

The scene of the shooting is near several large Amazon fulfillment centers and a Hampton Inn hotel.
