Litter Of Kittens Sealed In A Box, Rescued By Local Police

"Shame on you!" Auburn police wrote to the person who left the tiny kittens to die inside the box.

AUBURN, WA - Auburn police early Friday morning came across a shocking, sad discovery: a box sealed with duct tape that contained a litter of kittens.

A local citizen called police around 1 a.m. to report the suspicious box, which had been placed along a local road. The police were pleasantly surprised when they opened the box "and these lovable fellows were found inside," the department wrote in a Facebook post.

The officers took the kittens to the vet for a checkup. Next stop, the Auburn Valley Humane Society, where the kittens will likely be put up for adoption.
